Take iOS 11 Open/Close App Animation To Your Android

If you are an avid Android user and it’s really hard for you to switch to any other mobile operating system even if it is something as big as iOS, but you still want some of the great facets from iOS, this post is just for you. There are quite a few things in iOS 11 that people love and one of them is the Open/Close App animation. To be fortunate, some hard work has been done by mizdrake 7 – a member of XDA developers forum–and it has now become possible to bring open/close app animations from iOS 11 to Android 5.0+ devices.

Both Google and Apple are on a continuous quest to tweak a few experiences in latest versions of their mobile operating systems. Most of us pay attention to major changes that ship with the new Android and iOS versions, but there are only a few who look forward to comparatively minor refinements like the latest open/close app animations which complete the latest iOS 11 experience.

If you are a fan of Android and like to have minor improvements that are still overly positive then it is very much possible. However, this isn’t as simple as browsing Play Store on your device and downloading the app which brings the new experience as desired. In fact, it is about changing default behavior of your Android device and requires you to have Android 5.0+ on which you have installed custom recovery as well. And, for that you will need to have root access.

In case you have it then you will only have to download the ZIP file and run customer recovery on your device. But again, you must have Android 5.0 at least for it to work.

The installer that you will download also makes internal backup for inbuilt Android open/close animation and it means that if you are not satisfied with the latest iOS 11 experience, or just become tired of playing Apple on your Android, you can roll back anytime and get the standard Android experience on your device. And, obviously, there are certain warnings that come with such projects and installations and only those with enough knowledge about modifying Android devices should continue with these modifications.

That’s probably not the most exciting of changes, or a major project that we have ever had on Android, but it is still one that will appeal those who love subtler, finer modifications which prove to be the difference while using an Android device.
