It’s been some time that we are getting news and rumors about iPhone SE getting a refresh this year. And with current SE model being introduced back in 2016, we’re surely up for an upgrade.
With that being said, the only thing that we’re not sure about at the moment is when exactly Apple will be giving this inexpensive iPhone a refresh. There’s a lot going around about what the new iPhone model will look like after the upgrade and what its major features will be.
The video that we’re talking about here shows an iPhone which looks smaller compared to the high-end iPhone model with flat edges instead of curved metal & glass from the flagship iPhone model. The resemblance with iPhone X mostly comes from that notch present on top of the phone’s display. And, with the presence of that notch, it’s also predicted that there won’t be any Home button. The rear side of the new upcoming iPhone SE 2 will feature vertical dual camera that, again, looks more like iPhone X. The question, however, is that will Apple really be able to bring Face ID to this low-end model or not.
After showing its doubts on the leaked video, Zach Epstein says that before arrival of the video – a week before – he got drawings of new iPhone SE. And those drawings showed, iPhone model with that top notch and edges resembling the current iPhone SE closely. Besides, there wasn’t any Home button either.
The drawings are exactly the same as what we can now see in the leaked video and that, obviously, puts concerns on its legitimacy out of question.
It is still not sure whether Apple will or will not announce the latest iPhone SE model this year and we can’t bet on any of that. But if the video and the drawings are to be believed, one thing that is for sure is new iPhone will sell like hot cakes as soon as it hits the market.
