Apple has come up with an update to beta 1 version of watchOS 5, the new operating system for its wearable, after releasing it initially last week.
After the opening keynote of WWDC 2018 concluded last Monday, the company released first beta version for watchOS 5 along with the betas for iOS 12 as well as macOS Mojave. Subsequently, however, the update to watchOS was pulled from the release.
There were reports floating around that the latest update caused ‘bricking’ of a few Apple Watch Series 2and made left them completely unusable. The new release, however, rectifies the problem and is expected to keep everyone’s Apple Watch safe now.
After the installation of beta release, users can try out the latest features like automatic workout detection and Walkie-Talkie. Both these features were demonstrated by Apple on-stage at the opening keynote event at WWDC last week.
One important thing that should be noted here is that it’s the initial beta release for the latest watchOS update and we’d definitely recommend the non-developers to install it, particularly on devices that they put on every day. In case of any kind of unforeseen problems, you’ll be able to find them out with this beta 1 version. And everyone with a bricked Apple Watch would definitely confirm that.
