As we have already seen 16-inch MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air featuring the latest Scissor Keyboard rather than the old butterfly alternative, we’re soon going to see the same for the 13-inch MacBook Pro as well.
According to a report, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Scissor Keyboard might come out next month. The report was shared by a YouTuber Jon Prosser through his Twitter handle over the weekend. According to Prosser, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is codenamed J223 and is expectedly going to be released somewhere in the next month.
What’s interesting here is the fact that this new model will be a simple refresh to the one that already exists instead of moving up to the latest 14-inch display which was pretty much on the cards since we saw Apple introducing a 16-inch model for the 15-inch alternative.
That said, the 14-inch MacBook Pro – if one has to arrive at all – will require us to wait for a bit longer.
While the Scissor Keyboard wasn’t specifically mentioned by Prosser in this report, there doesn’t seem to be any reason that the smartphone manufacturer would come up with a new notebook release with the old butterfly keyboard which isn’t really popular among the masses anymore. The said keyboard has turned notoriously unreliable lately, and many products have seen return programs because of the keyboard’s inability to manage the most insignificant debris ingress.
Prosser, in his post, doesn’t share anything on the timeline as to when the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro device will come out. All we could find on the timeline of this new release was that it will arrive somewhere in the “next month”. No specific date has been revealed for the release though. So, let’s wait and see when it comes out!
