Apple has upgraded its Watch Ultra Action Button with WatchOS 11 along a recent change.
WatchOS 11, the latest upgrade of Apple Watch software, came and introduced some new functions including a new vitals app and updated smart stacks. While one upgrade is particularly for the Apple Watch Ultra and watch Ultra 2, and it significantly improves the Action Button.
The Action Button obviously enables users to tap a button located on the edge of Apple Watch Ultra models and then have a particular application open or a feature turned on, including the shortcut operations. This makes it highly effective, but the inclusion of a change in watchOS 11 alters things entirely.
After downloading watchOS 11, the users of Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Ultra 2 can tap and keep holding the Action button to show each app, feature, or task in a list that can be modified. It means that enhanced functionality is added here, guaranteeing that all options remain accessible despite choosing one as a main feature.
But this change has not yet arrived in iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, indicating that it could be included in the future software upgrade. Be it for the iOS 19 or a prior model, we’ll need to wait to find out. While considering that a long tap is needed by iPhone to begin any task, this tweak may possibly never roll out to our phones.
