The first Apple Event of the year will be held on the following Tuesday, 7th of May at 7 a.m. Pacific Time, while its live stream will be available on YouTube and Apple.com.
What will be the duration of this event? Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his newsletter today told that “the video will have a runtime of around 35 minutes”.
It is expected that Apple will announce the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models, with updated Magic Keyboard accessories and Apple Pencil.
The latest rumors are as follows:
- Two latest iPad Air models with a landscape-oriented front camera and M2 chip, having the first ever 12.9-inch iPad Air
- Two new iPad Pro models along with the OLED displays, a landscape-oriented front camera, M4 chip, a thinner enclosure, other design changes, a matte screen option, and probably MagSafe wireless charging
- A latest Apple Pencil with a squeeze gesture for specific actions and haptic feedback. Vision Pro support is also possible, but may be coming with visionOS2.
- A new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro along with a larger trackpad, aluminum enclosure, and other design tweaks
The event is happening just about a month prior to Apple’s Annual developers conference WWDC, which occurs from June 10 until June 14.
