If you are looking forward to iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak, there’s good news for you. Some information related to progress on this jailbreak has recently popped out. It’s about support for 64-bit iPhones and iPads.
PsychoTea, the developer, has shared some screenshots and information on progress about what he’s been doing on the jailbreak to bring it into its current form.
There’s a lot in news about iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak ever since we have known that there is something going on about it, but here we’ll be shedding light on all latest information available. According to PsychoTea, there is some major progress made on it and he’s overcome several stumbling blocks including the AMFI patching as well as bypass on 10.3.x iOS. Now this means that he’s been able to directly achieve SSH working. There were some screenshots posted by the developer as well for collaborating the claims.
As far as jailbreak is concerned, nothing is yet confirmed about iOS 10.3.x jailbreak coming to 64-bit devices from Apple. However, what we know at the moment is that we’ve got read/write on root, kernel read/write, ability of running unsigned code courtesy AMFI bypass mentioned above, and SSH enabling.
The developer claims that all this achievement now puts the jailbreak for iOS 10.3.x on 64-bit devices in same spot where we have one for iOS 11. They’re both now waiting until Jay Freeman updates Cydia and the Cydia Substrate. And as soon as things get settled, developer is of the view that it won’t take too long for iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak to be released publicly with support for 64-bit devices.
Something interesting here, probably quite similar to the approach Jonathan Levin took for iOS 11, is that developer has written a sort of question/answer session for clearing up any kind of misinformation spreading around and filling in the blanks. All the work that has been done so far is some projects combined from people like nullpixel, stek, xerub, and S1guza who’s the founder of v0rtex exploit.
Obviously, there’s nothing like one-man show and the story doesn’t revolve around just one person who’s responsible to take us this far. However, it’s been confirmed that he’s the only one to be working on iOS 10.3.x jailbreak for 64-bit devices whereas tihmstar is focusing on 32-bit devices from Apple running iOS 10.3.x.
So, stay tuned for more updates on iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak and we’ll be sharing it as soon as something becomes available.
