There are many who really love the way Apple has progressed over the years with its iOS and has finally come up with the latest, more powerful and feature-rich iOS 11. However, they’re also quite concerned about the device liberation and the ability to install iOS tweaks using Cydia. The situation keeps them conflicted and they always frantically wonder about iOS jailbreak status. If you are also among these people then you must also have a few questions in mind about iOS 11 jailbreak.
To be honest, in our experience as part of jailbreak community, we haven’t seen any linear approach on how things are carried out or when the new versions for tools/software are made available. Even though Apple itself takes a very focused approach towards releasing latest iOS versions and anyone who follows Apple’s releases would know that there’s a WWDC event every June and that is followed by public releases of all the announcements from the event in September, there’s nothing specific when it comes to jailbreaking. We can’t say at any time that something is cooking up or some tools are coming up until there’s a breakthrough announcement and the tools are in final production or testing stages.
Current iOS 11 Jailbreak Status
As for the iOS 11 jailbreak status, the last jailbreak that was available publicly was offered only for the iOS 10.2.1. As far as firmware versions that were released afterwards are concerned, Pangu Team has already been witnessed showing off iOS 10.3.1 functional jailbreak. KeenLab was also seen with a demo of iOS 10.3.2 as well as iOS 11 jailbreak at the MOSEC 2017. However, nothing else can be said about the jailbreak progress ever since and nothing has been made public as to whether these teams that are based in China have plans of packaging these jailbreaks together for a public release.
Very little information is out there at official level. Besides, iOS 10.3.3 has not been publicly demoed yet and the jailbreak from KeenLab might also work on this version of iOS provided it works fine as iOS 11 jailbreak. The problem, however, is that there is complete silence on jailbreaking both these iOS versions since the aforementioned demo from KeenLab.
But as we have public version of iOS 11 available now, we can soon expect public jailbreak for iOS 10.3.x given the number of vulnerabilities that have been patched by Apple in the latest iOS 11 in comparison to iOS 10.3.x.
So, we’ll have to wait until jailbreak community comes up with something new on iOS 11 jailbreak status. Keep enjoying full-featured iOS 11 version until then.
