This year’s major launch from Apple – the iPhone 12 Pro Max – is reported to be the USA’s most popular 5G smartphone last month. According to the numbers shared from PCMag, the handset performed well and came on top in 49 states of the country and missed the top position in just one state.
The report mentions that the data was taken from Ookla as well as M Science – the research firm.
“M Science directly tracks sales, and gave us cumulative sales figures up until Jan. 23. Ookla looks at the usage of its Speedtest apps on consumers’ phones, and gave us data for tests taken in January. They agree that the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the most popular 5G phone in the US.”
It further highlights that the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the iPhone 12, and the iPhone 12 Pro remained the top three choices among new iPhone buyers. On the contrary, the iPhone 12 mini was among the relatively less favored choices.
According to the previous reports, the smallest iPhone 12 model from Apple hasn’t seen high demands and it didn’t perform as it had been earlier anticipated considering a very high number of individuals willing Apple to announce a smaller flagship phone.
All these reports and numbers, however, don’t give you a clear picture without any information on the exact number of devices that were sold. Only Apple has that kind of data and it is not telling anyone about its iPhone sales breakdown at the moment.
Apple introduced 5G connectivity for the first time in its iPhone 12 line as well.
