With iMessage, you don’t have any limitations on the number of people you can send a message to in one go. With the help of iMessage groups, it is possible for iPhone/iPad users to share text, videos, photos, location, soundbites and almost everything else with two, three or as many people as you like. Even your group conversation threads can be named as you like so that you can find them easily whenever you have to. In fact, you can even mute group conversations when other group members are talking about something that doesn’t really concern you. Let’s start learning how groups can be used on iMessage.

    4. Here you can find both the options and decide whether you’d like to leave the conversation or mute it.
      • If you intend to mute the conversation so that you do not receive any notifications from it then tap the slider in front of Do Not Disturb to mute it.

It is important to remember here, however, that you can leave the iMessage groups only if all the members of the group are on iMessage. The reason is that Apple cannot remove or block you from regular SMS/MMS carrier messages. They can only remove group members from the iMessage threads.
