The WWDC 2017 keynote event was held last week and there were many new announcements made by Apple at that event. watchOS 4
Apple has announced the new OS version for the Apple Watch. The watchOS 4 is expected to come later in the year and introduces many new features including watch faces, developer tools and activity features, etc.
macOS High Sierra
macOS High Sierra is the latest update from Apple to its macOS. The new operating system basically focuses on the core technologies and improves everything under-the-hood. Besides, it will offer massive support for different VR technologies as well.
New Macs
The new Macs are already on the cards with Apple deciding to refresh its MacBook, iMac and the MacBook Pro lines. The new Macs will feature Kaby Lake processors, expanded memory and powerful graphics features. iMac Pro is also announced by Apple that is expected to make it to the markets in December. Its explicit target will be the professional users.
iOS 11
It’s probably the most talked about latest release from Apple. The new iOS 11 is expected to make its appearance publicly later in the year and will come with quite a few improvements and new features. The new iOS 11 is expected to include iMessage in the iCloud, major Siri enhancements, person-to-person payments using Apple Pay and lots more. iOS 11 will also come with ARKit letting developers to start making augmented reality apps which can use iOS technologies better.
iPad Pro
The iPad Pro line is going to have a major change this year with Apple deciding to introduce the new 10.5” iPad and quitting the older iPad Pro 9.7” model. Besides, some major updates will be coming with the iPad Pro 12.9” model. Both the iPads, the new and the updated one, will now feature True Tone Display and have a wider color gamut.
The camera systems will have a few improvements as well and we’ll now be having the camera that is there in iPhone 7 already. Then there is Affinity Pro with the help of which the users can experience professional-grade image editing using their iPads. It uses newly introduced A10X processor to its full advantage and can be downloaded from App Store for just $19.99.
HomePod
The last on our list is HomePod, the new smart speaker that is controlled with Siri and is expected to make it to the markets later in 2017. This new speaker from Apple utilizes spatial awareness for analyzing the environment and adapting the sound perfectly to the space you have put it in. It also uses beamforming technology for directing the sound that it generates. You can even wireless connect several HomePods to make them work together and offer even better sound.
