Recently a report came from Apple’s Cupertino Tower that the world’s renowned mobile phone manufacturer will soon be introducing modular Mac Pro and it will be around by 2019. This release will again be targeted at professional users and will be coming with a completely redesigned modular system.
Matthew Panzarino was also there at Apple’s campus for attending the internal meeting that included some of the well-appointed Apple personnel like Apple’s Vice President of Hardware Engineering as well as Tom Boger who’s Senior Director of Mac Hardware Marketing at Apple.
Earlier, it was predicted by many industry professionals and analysts that the same Mac Pro model will be arriving in 2018. However, as it appears, Panzarino might’ve been told that it’s not ready and won’t be releasing in 2018 as anticipated originally. He said:
“We’d like to be transparent and openly communicate with the pro community so we’d like to share that Mac Pro is going to be 2019 product. It is not meant for this year.”
Apparently Apple will be taking new approach as far as Mac Pro goes and wants to openly communicate with its professional community for setting expectations. New Modular Mac Pro is going to be expensive which means Apple will only have one chance for capturing attention of the individuals in need of some professional machine.
New Team, the “Pro Workflow Team”, is leading the way for bringing new Mac Pro into reality. John Ternus is leading this team and it’s quite determined and focused on bringing a top notch product out in the market. Also, the open communication will certainly be appreciated by everyone who’d rather choose to wait until a perfect product hits the market.
To be unfortunate, even though that internal meeting revealed when Mac Pro might arrive, it didn’t give us any insights into what that hardware might appear like in terms of its physical design, or what specifications it is expected to come with.
As we comprehend, Apple is still in the planning process for releasing modular machine that’s been rethought altogether, and all we can do is to hope that previously talked about “pro” display is also coming along this new Mac Pro. Let’s just look forward to whatever is in store and hope that Apple will come up with something affordable.
