With the third beta release for both the platforms, it is quite evident that Apple wants to get the two firmware versions ready for release as soon as possible so that general public can get their hands on these. Let’s check out what these two updates will bring.
tvOS 11.3: Quite a few small changes have been made to the tvOS 11.3 in the third Beta release but all of them are quite notable. The update comes with new screen that explains Privacy when you first launch the software and implement some new section. The explanation is about the way data of the users is managed. Quite a lot of work has been done around HomeKit to ensure that Apple TV comes to Home app in iOS when iOS 11.3 and tvOS 11.3 are installed. Support for exactly the same frame rate as tvOS 11.3 also comes to Apple TV 4.
macOS 10.13.4: The Beta 3 for macOS 10.13.4 doesn’t really offer a massive update, however, Mac owners will still want to try the update particularly if they’ve installed iOS 11.3 on their iPhone/iPad. The latest macOS version brings back the new Messages feature in iCloud. It also brings a warning from iOS that actually warns users that Apple has phased out those 32-bit-only apps and they might not work with future macOS versions.
So, as the developers continue to investigate these beta releases, we’ll update you if any new features or functionalities are discovered. Until then, if you’re registered with Apple Developer Program, just grab these latest releases and get on with testing.
