Upcoming Apple iPhones Expected To Focus On Camera Performance And Speed – Plus Branding Might Discontinue For 6.5” Model

Almost everyone knows what Apple will be offering to its customers with the latest 2018 iPhone line, but Bloomberg has now added something more to the commentary going on about the new iPhones from the biggest smartphone manufacturers around.

Yes, we know that Apple is going to launch three different iPhone models next month where 5.8” iPhone X will be replaced, and 6.5” iPhone X Plus as well as 6.1” LCD iPhone will accompany. The latest updates coming from Bloomberg suggest that the new iPhones will feature significant speed increases as well as better cameras instead of any major changes made internally.

As for the customers’ expectations, we have already settled on the speed bumps for most part along with the new and bigger 6.5” iPhone X Plus model. Quite interestingly, the new Plus model may not be referred to as the Plus iPhone any longer.

It was also revealed in the latest updates from Bloomberg that new Apple devices will all be powered by Apple A12 processor chip while the 6.1” iPhone is expected to cut costs as well with the help of its LCD display as well as other components that are not that costly such as aluminum body instead of steel. This cheaper smartphone is also likely to come up with just one camera as was the case with iPhone 8.

It won’t be wrong to say that new iPhone X Plus will be the most interesting of all devices to be announced from Apple in its September keynote event. Also, as reported by Bloomberg, similar to the other Plus models, it appears that this new iPhone will be able to display lots of additional information if you rotate it to landscape mode.

An official from Bloomberg said that Apple has changed the names quite a few times while planning these new devices. At least, it has thought about branding these new premium smartphones as “iPhone Xs” to reflect that they’ve been upgraded from iPhone X that was released last year. Apple has also weighed its decision of avoiding “Plus” label used for the larger models, which they first used with iPhone 6 Plus that featured a big screen and was launched back in 2014. However, the names aren’t yet final and they may be different too.

In coming weeks, we’ll probably know more about the branding but as we have an ‘S’ year this time around, it is quite unlikely to see lots of surprises coming up on the day of announcement.
