What Is Theater Mode
When you activate Theater Mode on the Apple Watch, it puts your device on silent and Wake Screen is also disabled on the “Wrist Raise Feature”. As a result, the screen of your Apple Watch does not light up if you rigorously move your hand. There won’t be any kind of sound notifications either. However, you still receive notifications on which haptic feedback is provided but it will not light up the screen of your Apple Watch.
If you want to light up the screen and view those notifications then all you have to do is tap on your Apple Watch screen to turn it on.
How To Activate Theater Mode
The option of Theater Mode is available in the Control Center of your Apple Watch. You just have to toggle Theater Mode on or off for using it. Follow the steps given below for activating Theater Mode.
- Activate the screen of your Apple Watch by pressing Digital Crown or raising the wrist.
- Put your finger on bottom of your watch and swipe up to open Control Center.
- Now swipe upwards again for accessing Theater Mode icon which features a couple of masks.
- Tap these masks
- It shows you a screen that explains Theater Mode.
- Now tap once again for activating Theater Mode.
How It Works
Once you enable Theater Mode on your device, the screen of your Apple Watch stays dark if the wrist is raised and it won’t light up. It won’t even light up in case of any new notifications. However, you’ll still be able to know if some text is received because theater mode does not turn off haptic feedback.
How To Access Notifications When Still In Theater Mode
Whenever you get new notifications, you are informed with a tap in Theater Mode. However, if you want to view those notifications then you will have to tap on your screen or press Digital Crown to see them.
Pressing side button, Digital Crown or tapping on the screen can also be the way to check time when you are in Theater Mode.
So, theater mode is quite a handy option if you do not want to be disturbed by any notifications. If you know how to use it then it proves to be a great feature to have on your Apple Watch.
