Samsung has announced that it would launch AirPlay support for its lineup of hotel room TVs, enabling iPad and iPhone users to get wireless streaming of photos, music, videos, and others from their gadgets to the television.
Using this feature, you can scan a distinctive QR code on hotel room television to set up an AirPlay connection which allows you to stream content wirelessly from your iPad or iPhone. As soon as the pairing procedure is finished, your device too will automatically get linked with the Wifi network of the hotel. Your device should have the updated versions like iPadOS 17.3 or iOS 17.3 or later releases.
On hotel room televisions, AirPlay operates with services and apps such as Apple Arcade for games, Apple Music, Apple fitness+ for exercises and workouts, Apple TV+, and many others.
Samsung stated that any private data is never saved or stored for AirPlay feature, while the paired device disconnects automatically when you leave the hotel.
The names of hotel chains providing the AirPlay-supported televisions were not revealed by Samsung. The feature was released in the beginning of this year on the hotel room televisions of LG at the Resorts properties and select IHG Hotels in Mexico, Us and Canada, and more places to be added.
For quite a while now, a similar Chromecast streaming function has been provided by Google on multiple hotel room televisions that functions with both android devices and iPhones.
