As Apple has already announced the revamped MacBook Pro 14” and MacBook Pro 16” models, everyone is looking forward to MacBook Air, anticipating what the new-look device will bring to the table. And, as it appears, we are surely going to get a notch if MacRumors is to be believed.
We saw Apple adding the notch to its new MacBook Pro models allowing for a greater screen space to be made accessible to users. Apple is expected to introduce the new MacBook Air machines with a similar upgrade.
Talking about its overall design, there are rumors that Apple plans on removing the tapered design of the current MacBook Air model, ditching it in favor of a more traditional-looking notebook. Just think of the latest MacBook Pro model with a thinner design; yes, that’s exactly what the new MacBook Air might look like when it ships.
Another thing that we expect the MacBook Air machines to borrow from the newly introduced MacBook Pro is the MagSafe. We won’t be wrong to assume here that all the upcoming Mac notebooks will feature magnetic charging.
Besides, the new MacBook Air will likely be shipped in multiple colors. For the display, we expect a 13” mini LED screen. It is very less likely for Apple to go above that.
Inside the upcoming MacBook Air, we expect to have a new M2 chip as all the future MacBook Pro models will be using M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. Everything seems to be perfect with the timeline too, as Apple is expected to introduce the new MacBook Air by mid 2022, although the first half of the year may potentially be the launch window as well.
