It is well-known for the majority that Apple announces new models of iOS in September, after the release of newest iPhones. But in terms of macOS, the important updates are generally held back by the company till October. However, this year it seems like Apple may launch macOS Sequoia together with iOS 18 in September.
macOS Sequoia to Arrive in the Coming Month:
The information is derived from MacRumors, which that it has received details from sources about the release of macOS Sequoia with iOS18, watchOS 11 and tvOS 18 in the mid of September. A reason behind this could be the promotion of Multi-platform functions, for example iPhone Mirroring, that allows users to manage their iPhone screens via Mac.
The new password App is also included in macOS Sequoia, that syncs the data within the same app on iPadOS 18 and iOS 18.
In past years, Apple has delayed the launch of latest model of macOS till October or November, particularly because the company typically releases new Macs during this part of the year.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg just disclosed that Apple was increasing the process of iOS 18.0 development, that would be finished earlier than expected in order to divert the focus of engineers towards iOS 18.1 development along with Apple intelligence. Recently in the Tuesday post, Gurman proposed that the development of iOS 18.0 has just been completed along the launch of Beta 7.
This is worth mentioning that macOS 15.0 would be missing the features of Apple Intelligence, that have been postponed till macOS 15.1.
In September, Apple will expectedly organize a major event to announce the launch of AirPods 4, Apple Watch Series 10, iPhone 16, and the release of its newest software.
